Progress

Now, I'll start adding a lot more detail.
The subject might like it if I trimmed down her derrière, but I'm not going to. I'd indulge vanity if I were being paid, but otherwise, I like to paint exactly what I see...

  1. Love your comments Bridget! My son's art class once had a contest to do portraits of a retiring English teacher. The teacher was the judge and didn't care for his honest portrayal. He showed every wrinkle and bump. His art teacher however likened him to a Dutch master. Um I was going to make a comment re: the subject's rights, but I just had a good look at the subject, and decided not to touch that one... Am I right? :)

  2. Glen, ;)

    Deb,
You were 'going to make a comment re: the subject's rights, but just had a good look at the subject, and decided not to touch that one... Am I right? :)'

    Whatever do you mean? :)

  3. That comment came out a little convoluted.. I suspect that you figured out what I was attempting to say, re: the subject of the portrait.

    Is that better :D

  4. I knew you were talking about the subject of the portrait, just not sure where you were going with it...perhaps you were speculating...
    (now I'm getting all convoluted)

  5. Okay, I was trying to ask you in a sneaky way if you were doing a self portrait. You know, in case you were and were keeping it a secret...

Step away from the computer Deb... :D

    ...and I won't say who it's a portrait of ;)....
