Projects Waiting

These are from my 'archives'. Poor things just want a shot at getting a life, at being out there, making their own way in the world. I’m certain I have some very good reasons why I haven’t finished them…Let me see…

Okay, this is the first watercolor I tried translating from an old back and white photo to color, and it just got the better of me...I still think about it though...I really ought to finish it just because she is a relative...

And this one...well, I think I just got bored, and it may have had something to do with a disruption in my work area, like demolition, rewiring and the like. (In my defense, that has happened a lot over the years. I can't tell you how many times I've had to pack up and move to some different corner of a house undergoing renovation.) I should really finish it because I need more 'Botanicals' on my Website.

This one—well, it's kind of depressing. back in the late 1990's, I had a 'manic' episode, painting a great deal. I made it most of the way through this painting before I realized the pitcher was not symmetrical. That discovery happened to coincide with a major depressive episode and I couldn't look at the poor thing without loathing. Yeah, it's the artistic temperament gone awry...
Fortunately, I can look at it now and see potential.

...and yes, there are others, I just haven't dug them out yet...
