Oh! I shouldn't...huh? I like both just great, and of course the photo is spectacular because that's what you're doing it from. I just think that a painting can sometimes have a character all its own that a photograph can never capture. And that's coming from me - a photographer. :)
I wasn't sure if I was going to pull it off with this image--some photos are spectacular because they actually capture a moment in time which may come off as contrivance when painted--does that make sense?

ReplyDeleteThat definitely makes sense. I think you picked a really nice one to paint. It suits watercolor extremely well.
