I'm assuming you used a single-hair brushes... I can't imagine being able to hold my hand that steady, let alone see detail that small. This is just amazing. I'm out of expletives! I love, love, love it!
Sharon--Thank You!I wish they made single hair brushes! I have a couple, but they weren't designed that way, and alas, they don't hold paint!
I am in step with Ms. Sharon, I am out expletives except for just palin,,"amazing"...
Aw, Shucks Glenn...
I love the dandelions, and the blossoms on the trees, and the idea of how much patience it took. Lovely.
I watch it progress from step to step so I see that you have a process. In other words, there is a plan and you work it. I just don't know how you do it. I am in awe. Truly. The grass. The trees. The dandelions. The woman. Her dress. Wow.
Liza & Robin: Thank you both so much for following along--it makes the whole process so much more enjoyable for me......now to go rest my eyes and my shoulders...:)
SQUEEE!!! I'm IN LOVE! Seriously, woman, you have got talent! I've got to go spread this around. You're amazing. :)
*me breathing relief*I'm so pleased that you like it! You do realize, though, that it pushed me to the brink of insanity...but don't you worry...*twitch* *twitch*...I'll be fine...:)
When I stop to think about the amount of WORK that went into this picture, I'm flabbergasted. I'm putting up a post now about it...*HUGS*Sorry about the insanity...
Michelle:)Seriously, don't worry about the insanity thing; it's pretty much my constant state of mind...I rather like it...:)
Lovely. As always.
Laura! it's so nice to see your face again!
Thanks, B! It's good to see your face, too!P.S. I love the header on this blog - your self-portrait is wonderful!
Thanks, Laura—I guess I’m satisfied with the self-portrait sufficiently enough to put my giant head up there, but I have to admit that I’m not entirely comfortable with having it in my header—feels rather self-promotional. I’ve been told that us artist/writer types need to get more comfortable with shameless self-promotion, but I don’t think I’ll ever wear that too well...
This painting has a lot of stuff going on. That is my technical evaluation. My soul's evaluation is that it all comes together magnificently. This is one that I will keep coming back to simply for the pleasure of viewing. Oh, I guess that is what art is.
Thank you Jerry...that is such a sweet compliment. You made my day :)
You don't have to comment, but I won't stop you...
