Cool Grass: Done

I’m not sure how this looks on your monitor, but if it’s anything like mine, the colors in the original aren’t quite as saturated, but still, it’s a fair representation.

  1. Beautiful! I'm just blown away. Even printing on the book pages. Just amazing!

  3. Sharon: I'm glad you like it. I keep staring at it, thinkin 'something ain't right.' (probably me)

Robin: Well, you're probably a lot saner if you stick to just writing. I think writing is more theraputic, regardless of the end product. Besides that, a book on a shelf, or a manuscript on the desk doesn't taunt you the same way a painting on the wall might :)

  5. Well, thanks, Glenn...
...but you have to admit (if you look closely) that the likeness is a little off; not sure exactly what it is yet. The first thing that comes to mind is Edward Scissor Hands [gosh, I hope the subject or her partents don't read this]. Maybe I've seen too much vampire stuff on other blogs lately...maybe I just need a few days away from it and then give it another look...
    ...anyway, that's what I think...

  6. This is splendid. I keep wondering what book she's reading. I'm sorry you feel something is off. There's nothing worse than being a bit dissatisfied with our creations. That feeling of "settling." I hope you can find peace with this one. I think it's lovely, and her hair is my favorite part. :)

  7. I like the hair, too. I think maybe the face needs more shading on the underside--needs more depth, perhaps. Maybe it's the hairline...could be...hmmm...just haven't put my finger on it...

  8. Oh, and it seems a few are curious about the book she's reading...The Proud Prince.

  10. It was published in 1903, so you can imagine how full of adverbs it is :)
